Having seen it like that do you think it's a little too subtle? Yes can't go wrong with Mexico blue, very clean blue would look great with black trim too. Maybe I should stick to a solid color with strong pigment, almost like a pure toner. Can someone do me a favor and show me an example of blood orange? thanks for help guys. |
Ahhh! Decisions! Decisions! Decisions!
I really like the RSR's
We are doing a few of them right now. We did a white and red one last year and that combo pops the most. IMO. We also did a white and black 76RSR that turned out nicely. The C4RSR were doing will be white with blue. My 2nd favorite. Were also building a 73 RSR race car it will be yellow and black. After that were doing a Mexico blue and black one. Man do what ya feel! I changed my mind several times on the C4RSR. What ever color you do RSR's are the ticket. :D Good Luck Man! SmileWavy There are pics of the ones we did and photo-shops on the others were doing. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1138167255.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1138167296.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1138167335.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1138167358.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1138167377.jpg |

A little retro, looks good with with black trim, strong color and still stealthy. Thanks RW the Hippy ship is way out there.;) No track day :( at Sonoma this year so I'll catch up with you guys next time. I like the classic RSR look Doc. The lines on those cars are factory perfect, mine is a bit different. So I might shy away from the factory RSR scheme. Normally when I paint a car I give some consideration to resale. It's not for sale and no one is going to buy it just cause it's their favorite color. Besides after a few years of track time it will need paint again. So might as well have fun with color. Great photos thanks.:) |

With the yellow/orange details showing through, this 911 made me think of a hastily-resprayed Taxi. But I've got to agree that the blue itself is awesome-looking. |
I voted for Sunoco but there's always flat black...

Yes the satin black is the safe way if I can't decide soon. ;) |
I'm doing my '72 2002 in John Deere Blitz Black rattlecans. If it looks awful I'll get some real Blitz Black and shoot it at a friend's house.
