Top Gear back on?
Found that "Top Gear" was on the Science channel tonight:
http://science.discovery.com/tvlistings/series.jsp?series=30445&gid=0&channel=SCI It looks like a repeat, so I'm not sure what in store for new programming. Still, there is some promise. |

Here in Canada, we get the "digital package" which includes BBC World. They air Top Gear on Friday night late (1:30 am Sat morning) then again at 8:30 am, then again at 1:30 Sunday afternoon.
The show is fantastic. Last week the three hosts bought beater Porsches and basically just beat on them some more. The main host Jeremy Clarkson doesn't particularly like Porsches but begrudgingly conceeds that they are the best cars you can buy. A month or so ago it was the "Ultimate Production Coupe" showdown: Porsche 911 Vs BMW M6 Vs Aston Martin something-or-other. Interestingly, the Porsche was signifigantly quicker over a 2 mile course while giving away 100+ HP and $30k in sticker price. This particular show should be required viewing to anyone that needs convincing that Porsche makes the best production cars on the planet. As co-host James explained: "... the 911 is a car that will thrill you every day"
