Slightly OT...Replica Speedster build, 2180cc,FI &Turbo'd

So sue me....it's fiberglass, it's VW powered, BUT it IS Fuel Injected, Turbo'd and looks like a Por-sha.....

In the garage installing the CB Performance motor....swapping out the stock IRS four speed for a Beefed up trans, .82 final drive billet external sideplate, 4.12 ring and pinion, 4 spider Superdiff, welded 3/4 hubs hardened keys and steel forks.....

Motor should do 200HP with 1.2 bars......currently set at .75 for break in....

It needs a flat six. Then come back and talk to us!

Seriously, that is a sweet looking ride and looks like a ton of fun!

Mike:

I saw a speedster replica at the local "toy store" with a 3.2. Hence there must be a way to do it. They were asking over 30k. It was fully prepped for the track. That must be a hoot! I would love to have one to toy around in.

Well....it could be yours....%^B

I really have room/time/energy for only two P-cars. This one or the real 356 with the six in it are gonna go up for sale.

Keeps the diff from shifting and blowing out the side.

There was a thread on the same subject with 915s awhile ago....early ones had some issues and the later ones had beefed up ones.

Yes, I've seen the early/late stock side covers. But that one looks like it was machined (?) Did you make it yourself? Or where did you get it?

Also what model # trans or year trans are you using?

Thx.

Got the trans side cover from 1-866-VWSTUFF.

Machined billet aluminum...
