MFI to Carb Conversion Question
I am wanting to convert from MFI to Carb on a 2.4 engine. I know when I remove the MFI injectors there are going to be 6 holes that need to be plugged. I am looking for the plugs to fill those holes. Anyone have a link to where I can get these at?
Thanks. Eric |

Can't help you on the plugs, but I can tell you that I bought Webers and asked a few questions on the PP board about MFI conversion and was promptly talked out of it. I thought that my system was trashed as the car had set for 15 years. But after a thorough cleaning and check-measure-adjust, it runs great. I'm really glad I didn't make the change.

Are you interested in working on my MFI? = ) I can drag the car to your house? = )
Its hard to find someone that knows MFI inside and out. I will keep tinkering and keep my options open. Thanks for the note. Eric

MFI
I had some real problems with my MFI last summer, and got loads of help here. You can find these posts going back to July / August time.
My car sat for 15 years without running, and the pump was in good order. Only problems I had was with the silly people, disgused as dealer service people, mess the system up. Most of the issues I found was down to cleanliness of the thermostat, fuel settings in the pump, and the valve settings, ignition timing etc. You can take the system off the car, and I think it is Pacific Injection service in California, can re-calibrate it for you. Don't think the work is cheap, but either is buying new Carbs and setting them up. Dom

In case the injector plugs are still needed, PMO carries them.

Eric,
You are getting good advice, keep your MFI. Do some Pelican searching on “MFI” and find the info. There are three reasons: 1) It performs better than almost anything else. 2) It is original for your 911. 3) You can DIY and be part of an elite group who understand this special Porsche induction system. There are many re-installing MFI (at great expense and effort) to regain the performance and originality. Please don’t give up yours. Best, Grady
