How to remove clutch pedal shaft??!!

It turns out, the part of the clutch pedal shaft where the clutch cable hooks onto has broken. So the clutch cable has no where to connect to anymore.

Can i remove the shaft (34 in the diagram) without removing the pedal cluster? If not, once the cluster is out, how do i take out the shaft?

And its hard because my car is RHD and all the diagrams are reversed! lol

Thanks for your help

the pedal cluster has to come out before it can be disassembled.

Impossible to do in the car. It's time for a proper cluster rebuild. Remove pedal cluster, drive out pin 29. and the whole thing comes apart.
