compressor clutch replacement

My car, 88 cab, a/c compressor clutch went out. Went to get estimate and was told $420 for clutch with 2 hrs labor for a grand total of $660 plus. I went online and can get the clutch for under $200. Is this a diy job or is it more complex than it look. I didn't see it in the Waynes 101 book. Thanks in advance.

Billy - You should be able to follow the appropriate steps in this rebuild article. Pretty straight-forward. I can't think of any reason you can't do it on the car. Ken
