Bilstein Question?
I purchased a used set of Bilstein inserts for my Boge housings. My Boge inserts have a large rubber bumper which slides on the shock - I am assuming to hold the metal dust cover in place. The Bilstein set I purchased did not come with this rubber piece. Finally question - do the Bilstein shocks require a piece similar to the Boge.
Thanks, Jim

I don't believe there were any rubber bumpstops on my Bilsteins that went in my Boge struts. I believe the bumpstop is internal, but it's been awhile, so I could be wrong.

What Steve said. I recently did the same change and there were no rubber stops in the Bilstein package.

Throw out ALL the internal stuff in the Boge strut and then insert the Bilstein insert.
