"I don’t care if you belong to an internet site that has an opinion about the value of these cars and what all your friends think they are worth..."

- I feel certain that the recent bidders are known to P. T. Barnum...

Then, there is the attempt to sponge off of a well-known car... "modeled after Freeman Thomas's Orange GT911"

Maybe there is something about this car doesn't show up in the ad and makes it worth twice what it would be otherwise?

First he says;

"There will be limited information posted here about this car due to time. Please feel free to ask any questions but be aware that I am very busy with requests as we have several cars for sale. I also have additional pictures if you need them."

Then goes on to say;

"Please understand that we are now to a point where I can not reply to all the e-mails requests......."

What am I missing? The car seems to be somewhat of a bastard....... I guess someone is looking for a conversation piece.....

I think that Ebay needs to be alerted to the shill bidding going on in that auction. I'll eat my computer if those are real bids.

Looks like shill bidding in all three of his auctions... If they end early without sale, that'll clinch it.

Non original motor

Non-original seats

Won't disclose history unless you bid/commit money.

Will only reveal "famous" owners name to auction winner.

I'm not getting it. But then again I don't get a $100k bottle of wine or a 2 mil piece of scratch paper with "I read the words today Oh boy...." . At least those two things haven't been tampered with....supposedly.

That guy is probably, maybe, intelligent enough to use a Zlotnian calculator ... if he reads the instructions very carefuly, a couple of times:

http://www.mccoys-kecatalogs.com/ISRG-
archives/Zlotnian_Calculator/zlotnian.htm

Arrogant to extremes, and a scammer at heart ... that car has NOTHING special about it to justify more than a possible $10K bid!

I love the 5 photos... looks like they were taken with his cellphone after smearing vaseline on the lens.

A 73.5T with a dirty 1982 SC engine, some reproduction seats and SC flares for $48,500???

This guy is a huge a--h-le and I'm tempted to write him to let him know. I just don't understand that auction. I'm just hoping that the bidder will renege on his bid and won't pay.

This "Interior is all original excluding the new ST style seats, Ice cold A/C , CD, 3 point seat belts and a Sunroof" is great - how is it all original if it has new seats?

I'm sure he won't let you do a PPI since he's "too busy".

That's the kind of car you drive home and find it's one big rust bucket.

This is also being discussed on the S registry board...with pretty much the same sentiments expressed...

Okay then.....

How about an original 1973.5T that was exclusivley painted at the Porsche factory in Dr. Porsche's most adored color...........
"Sepia Brown". Because of such an adoring color (after all his personal 928 was Sepia), I am sure it was touched by his personal hand before leaving the factory!

Lets start the bid at 30K! Yeah Right!

I should be so lucky!!!!!

I am glad to see you all feel my confusion....I just could not resist posting that information on here. One of those stupid things that would keep you up all night thinkin. I don't see how anyone could bid up a car that high in a serious auction without 100% proof of knowlege of the previous owner (or a why of why its special)....even then...

The seller is 'in the know' about early cars enough to know of Freeman's R Gruppe car (even tho this car is nothing like it!) but then throws in this sales pitch:

this is ready to be your daily driver. Park the Suburban and have some fun.

Say WHAT? Are there a lot of Suburban owners out there looking to spend $48,000 on a 35 year old Porsche for a daily driver? Nothing makes sense in this auction.
