Question on License Plate bulb. Mine burned bad
I used the 8W 67 bulbs and they were burned. I placed them and today found that they are dead. Open it up, when I just touch them, everything felt apart. The bulbs probably got too hot and burned everything. Housing melted and cruched worse than potato chip.
I checked the Pelican part and found that the correct bulb for it has 10W. Yes, I used the wrong wattage but lower wattage, hot higher wattage (I used 8W). My basic understanding is that the lower wattage bulb will make the light blured. Higher wattage bulb will make it hot and chance of burning the housing. Anyone know why I have this burning? Is my understanding theory wrong? Thanks.

You'll probably need the housing, lense and the gasket. I think they are about $18.00 for everything.
