Porsche Crest Part Needed

Gentlemen,
(and of course any ladies able to be of help)
I have a serious part problem. I have a 73 T sportomatic.
The engine has been rebuilt and is now a 2.7 and I have almost finished rebuilding the trans. therein lies the problem. I am in need of the lockout pin for the park lockout mechanism. Let's put aside the fact that I am incredibly stupid for losing it and that few subscribers to this forum have much love for the sporto. Nevertheless I love it and desperately want to get it on the road by spring.
I have enclosed the parts blowup from the manual in hopes someone might know where it could be found.

Well,

Since Pelican lists this part as available for special order (do a search of the 911 parts catalog using that part number) have you tried ordering a new one?

Have you tried Porsche salvage yards such as Parts Heaven in Hayward, CA? Given the apparent simplity of the part (a stepped pin?) you could also take some measurements and engage a machinist to make one. A starting piece of stock for custom machining might be the standard 915 detent.
