Cup Wheels (993)

So what would it take to mount cup wheels (17x8.5 and 17x10) on a old car like mine? I know flares are a must...but the backspace and such would likely make it very difficult. So...what are the options?

Just went over some notes... For Cup2 wheels ET 55 to fit an SC you need 1.5" rear and 1.25" spacers. I was using a set of 996 wheels ET 55, 7 & 9 on a 74 with 930 flares using 2 & 3" spacers to fill the wheel wells... Have them listed on the FS section, mounted with almost new MPSC. Other option is going with Mille Miglia from the Tirerack, they have the correct offset for SCs. I just upgraded to a set of 3 piece, forged centers frpm Complete Custom Wheel, in Daytona. John was able to fit my car with the correct BS and OS after sending him measurements. Really happy with the way they turned out. Went with 8.5 & 10 x 17 for about $2200 shipped. Running 235/275s... Lou

no I am only going by the size guess the owner gave me...we will take a look and get the exact numbers this week. My buddy is getting new wheels for his 993 and offered his old wheels to me so that is why I am asking...it's time for more rubber! lol

oem Cups, either I or II, will have the bead width and o/s embossed next to the valve stem. I was looking at a 964 turbo yesterday w/ Cup I - 7 & 9 x17 both had +55mm o/s. 993 used Cup II w/ the rounded spokes but the same size and o/s

I have 7 and 9 cup II's on the 912-6.

Front has 1" spacers, the rear is 1-3/4" (two 7/8" from a 944 stacked). Fits great with no issues on the track. Front and rear are 55mm offset I believe.
