Porsche Crest Carrera Upgardes Air Filter / Fuch Wheels

My friend is looking to upgrade air intake filter & wheels on 1987 Carrera 3.2. The car is stock.

1. What's the best intake filter to increase hp? K&N inside air box or K&N conical(no airbox) or something else?

2. What are the widest Fuch wheels that will fit on front & rear? Will the 16x9 turbo wheels et15 fit without rubbing in rear?

Thanks All

I also have a 3.2 carrera and have sought out information concerning air intake, and from what I have read, the stock air filter is all you need.
If you are looking for noticeable performance upgrade check out a new chip for your DME. I have one from 911 Chips It has made a significant difference in all round drive-ability. That combined with a euro premuffler and sport muffler is supposed to be about the best bang for the buck on a 3.2 Carrera.

Not sure about your question on wheels

The 9x16 ET15 Fuchs are a great fit in the back of a Carrera, use 245/45 tires

In the front you can use the ET23 8x16 but the ET23 7x16 is easier to use. 205/55 or 50 is easist to fit, 225/50 or 45 can be fitted on the 8s w/ some effort

7x16 front and 9x16 rear is the best setup. And you should tell your friend that it's "Fuchs", not "Fuch". Fuchs is the last name of the guy that opened the wheel-making factory, and is the name of the company. Fuchs means fox in German, and is why you see a fox's head on the back of the wheel.
