Fiberglass Targa top

Hi Folks,
I was wondering if the Socal ebay seller SUNDIALENT had a decent product.

In his ebay listings the tops look good, he has good feedback,
but I am wary of shelling out almost 500 bucks for a top I know nothing about.

I love the idea of a light fiberglass top, it is either on or off!

1) does it seal well

2) is it actually watertight

3) is there windnoise?

Thanks in advance for any info.

BTW, targas rock!! I dont care what anyone says. I love coupes and cabs as well, but there is nothing like just popping the top off and hitting the road

Do a search on Pelican. The JMPRO top sold by Pelican and mounted on a Targa top frame is much better.

I was a test subject on the Sundialent top and it leaves a lot to be desired. Again, do a search and you will come up with more than enough info.

Although Ebay frowns on doing this, you could look through the seller's feedback and find out who bought the top then send each of them an email asking what they think about the quality and fit. I've done this with other items and have had some good responses. If you do buy the top, please keep my name in mind and let me know what you think (or post your observations here) -- I'm considering the top as well, I'm just not as close to buying as you are.

David,

Please guys, do not buy this top! I have one that while is a few years old, its much the same as the one that is being sold on Ebay these days.

Above 50 mph the leading edge of the top started raising up in the airflow. The newer models have some reinforcing in this area but what it needs are some of the real targa latches attached to the top.

The JMPRO top fits on the top of a Targa frame and is more stable than the stock top. Please take a look at it before even wasting another minute of your time on the Sundialent version.
