				912 end play spec?

HI - I'm lookin for the specification on what the end play should be on a 69 912, 1600 engine - I am replacing the flywheel gasket which was left out by someone and need to reset the end play - i also am in need of the torque spec for the gland nut if anyone has it -I know it's not a 911 but any help would be much appreciated - thanks Michael | ||

The end play should be around .004 to .007 if you cant set it or its way out then your bearing is loose in the case which is known on these. Set the big Jesus nut to 400#, your going to need a big bar and it would be good to get a new nut, there cheap.. edit: oops, almost forgot, make sure you use the flywheel sealing shim/gasket when you check the end play then use a new one when your done..
