New Pelican hats: which design?

Hi folks,
We are about to produce some Pelican baseball-style caps. Depending upon your feedback, we will either embroider the "Wrench" pelican or the "Driver" pelican. Or both, if people like both designs. So let us know and we'll get these made soon!

Edit: the hat design hasn't been completed yet -- we're just trying to figure out which pelican to use. So feel free to include your design suggestions below.

I would prefer a simple hat with "www.pelicanparts.com" embroidered across the front.

Perhaps in a blue hat/white embroidery or black hat/gray embroidery. I'd buy one of those.

How 'bout "Pelican Parts" on the front and the pelican "logo" on the back or visa versa.

Prefer the wrench, but both look great, IMO.

Frankly if I never see another baseball cap except at the ballpark, it will be a very good day.

Guess I am getting to be an old fart but I grew up where gentlemen took their hats off when they met a woman, entered a building or sat down to eat. These days we all see guys (and sometimes ladies) who seem to wear a baseball cap from morning to, well, I am not sure that they even take the damm cap off to make love at night.

How about a little bit nicer hat with the same logo? Golf style hat or the like? Not everyone wears baseball caps...

What about a Green/White hat?

You need to show the whole thing so you can tell if things are correcyly proportioned.

Agreed. For those who are not in the know, 'Pelican Parts' might as well be a bird rescue group! With just the pelican/wrench it would definitely provoke the 'what it is?' question.

The driving one looks like the character from 'The Rescuers'. Not necessarily a bad thing but might create some confusion about what we are trying to promote!

I don't care for the "driving" Pelican - it looks too much like something I saw in one of my aviation magazines. He may as well be sitting in a Stearman as a Porsche... Unless that is a new direction for PP.

I agree with FrdzRed. Pelican Parts on the front. Wrench Pelican on the back.

Yup, me too. No words, bird & wrench.

As far as the "cap" issue/thread, I think it can be summed up as follows...

There are two types of Porsche owners;

1) The pretentious folks who think they are "better" than other people because they own a Porsche and
2) The folks who love P-cars for their simplicity, the adrenaline rush they bring and the engineering.

Based on the results of the poll, it seems like there are more "gearheads"(#2) than wankers (#1) on this board.

The next thing to discuss is the style/make of the cap. there are various types, from the trucker/john deer vented back version to the fitted style.

I love the ambiguity of the poll options.

I like them both equally.

I think there shoud be variations on the Pelican on a rotating basis, kind of like what google does. Have Pelican in a racing suit, Santa Claus, WW1 flying ace, etc... and NO lettering. It should serve as just an icon.

I was thinking along the same lines a Jared was before I saw his post.....Different variations, like sitting or leaning on the various car manufactures name PP provides for is just one example. Lots of ways to go with this.

Funny/suggestive quips on the back in small font usually gets interest back to the front of the hat also...maybe like "Give em the bird."...heh..heh..heh

I like both designs... I'd like a hat that has either, with 'PelicanParts.com' or 'Pelican Parts' on it, and the Porsche script or logo somewhere on it.

I am not a fan of the www.com part. Otherwise I would get one with the next order.
