Plug Gap
What should I gap my plugs? I have a 73 911 with 6-pack Webers on a 2.4L engine. I am putting on a blaster coil, new plug wires and a Pertonix ignition. I am using Bosch W3DPO spark plugs. Any ideas on the gap?

Bosch W3DP0 plugs don't have an adjustable gap ... and are too cold a heat range for any street-driven 2.4!

If it is an E, S, or RS-spec engine ... Bosch W4C, or NGK BP8ES for hot summer weather, W5C or BP7ES for cooler climates or mostly around town driving ... 0.028" - 0.032" gap on all.

My '73E (MFI) runs best using the Denso Iridium Spark Plugs.
 They are about $10.00-$12.00 each depending on where you get them but in my opinion they are the best plugs I've used - especially in my rich running MFI system. They come pre-gapped.

Do a search and you'll find a lot of people are kind of down on platinum plugs for the older engines. I tried Bosch WR5DP platinums, and although my car runs ok with them , I will switch back to coppers next time around.

What about carb as compared to MFI? I'm somewhat new about this issue. What plugs for carbs and gap ranges?
