Need help quickly! (reverse light wires on Tranny)

Pulling my motor and trans right now, but can't remember how to remove the wires that go into the tranny. If I remember correctly they are reverse light wires.

Do I pull the whole white plastic plug out? Do I untread it from the tranny case? Do the wires just come out of the white plastic?

Thanks!

No A/C, no Sun Roof, no power windows. Fast and light, just the way I like it. (Sad to say, it's sold. But at least it remains with us on this board.)

If I remember correctly...disconnect the spedo wires using the plugs located by the shift coupler. The reverse lights should unplug from the sensor in the back of the Trans. You should not have to unscrew the sensor.

Oops! I just realized you have a pre-SC car. My advice may not be applicable.

IIRC, when you pull the motor, you shouldn't have to worry about the back up lights until you separate the tranny from the engine. Still need to worry about the speedo cable though.

Thanks guys! I didn't have time to respond until now. Took me 5 hours. Man, I blow! But in my defense I have a roller in the garage so I had like ZERO room to work. Excuses, excuses.

Neil, yes you are correct. My wires were "looped" around so it apeared they were coming from the tunel. It's been a while since I pulled the motor.
