The learning curve - meters?

Hello again,

The pain of learning all the gadgets and the excitement of the unknown.

I know this will sound stupid, but having just taken the leap into the Porsche world I'm sure other members will understand my frustration and enjoyment of being a new 930 owner.

I have attached 2 images - of two meters on the dashboard, the meters are connected to 2 knob switches when you turn them counterclockwise 2 lights come on - a red dot and a bit larger orange light and a sound comes on looks like amplifier meters of some sort. I don't think they have anything to do with the engine or maybe they do.

Looks like a custom job, I've never seen gauges like that in a car...

.. but I've seen 'em on stereo systems.

What do they react to? What do they do when you start the engine? What about if you rev the engine? It's hard to see, but what are they marked? (what numbers are on them?)

Out of curiousity, do they react to what your stereo is playing?

I haven't gotten to the stereo yet, I just got the car a couple days ago.
