prep and painting a fiberglass ducktail
My MASHAW tail has some rough spots on the deck.
How should this be fixed prior to going to the paint shop? Is there a special material that is used to smooth out this imperfection or should it just be sanded out?

I'm no body expert but as I recall a catalyzed glazing putty can be used to smooth minor imperfections w/o worrying about later shrinkage.

Evercoat polyester glazing putty is very good for small imperfections. Catalyzed and very easy to sand. You can get it at auto body supply stores
