titling a 911 in NC with only a bill of sale from another state???
Anyone have any idea the steps to get this done, or if it is possible at all in NC?

Keith,
I would start by filling out the North Carolina Title Application form and bring that to the DMV. I would also search the DMV website under vehicle registration to see if there is an answer there. Good luck.

Titling a car in NC without a title can be a pain. If at all possible you need to see if you can get a title from a former owner signed over to you. Most likely they will not issue a title without having the old one. They (the DMV) will accept an out of state title as long as it has been signed over to you.
If it works out just having the bill of sale let me know, but I don't think it will. Good luck

Get ready to pay for it too. I paid $120 just to have a title changed over from SC to NC.
