gauge question

I'm in the process of removing my gauges to have white faces installed and already ran into a problem.

How do I remove the wire shown here? It seem to be spring loaded. And I thought it'd be easy. I should know better.

Thanks,

Q.

Which one?
If you mean the one with the black "sleeve", just gently pull on it. It's a bulb. A tiny bulb. Don't pull on the wire, though.

EDIT: You ARE taking pictures of the wiring before removing, aren't you?

Wayne is correct... I did it by levering the ring at the bottom of the rubber sleeve. I used a small flat head screwdriver.

Once it moves a little bit you are home.....

Yes, I'm taking lots of pics with a high resolution camera but it is cumbersome and this was a snapshot with the cell.

Thanks for the advice. I'll post all the pics when it's complete.

I timed this with my vacation since I can't see my baby sitting there in the garage without teeth too long.

Well, the pics would be more for your use to get the wires all back in the right places but we need new stuff to look at.

I know, I'm an a$$.
