3.2 engine throttle issues

I have recently upgraded my 1972 car with a 3.2 motor, im having big issues with the throttle linkage in that when travelling in trafic its a bit all or nothing trying to just put on enough throttle to maintain a steady pace seems im posible and when I let the throttle off to slow myslef down I end up kangerooing down the road. My linakge is all free and not ceased it just like the smallest touch of the peddle casues me to shoot off down the road. Any one else had similar issues did you find a solution?

Steve

Try to lengthen the arm either on the throttle lever side or the TB side. Longer arm = longer travel which = less jumpiness. Of course make sure you still get full throttle when you do want it.

hmm, I just got mine running last week and I've noticed a bit of what you describe. I think I need to do more adjusting and "trial and error" stuff. I made part of my linkage and I'll put up a pic later.

However, I DO like the torque when I inadvertently jab the throttle.
