Caravans to Pelican -- Brian Redman/917 Engine Open House

Where'd our motors go?

UPDATED INFO:

Meet: TRE Motorsports - 11046 Chandler Blvd in North Hollywood
At: 10:30am - 12:00 noon

At 12:00, we'll head out for a quick canyon run along Mulholland, then down the 405 to Pelican Parts to see the 917/908 powerplants and to hear a little from Brian Redman about what they were like to drive.

Ill be heading down from Santa Barbara and could meet up with anyone between here and there. Would be no problem to meet at TRE at a certain time also.

I live right off the 101 at White Oak. If TRE works out, maybe you can make a quick exit and we can "caravan" to TRE.

The event is scheduled to run from 2:00pm - 6:00pm on Saturday March 25th. And the Porsche gods have promised nice weather.

I'm up for a meeting that starts at TRE. Weather looks like it should be good.

Jack - Will this be the debut of the new and improved BBII?

Well, I contacted TRE, and -- fortunately, considering that I hadn't checked with them -- they're willing to open up so we can meet. There aren't any ideal roads between North Hollywood and El Segundo, but we can do a little twisting on Mulholland to get to the 405, and then parade down from there.

It won't be the debut of BB2. I'll be the photo car, though.

It's from 2PM to about 6PM or so. I'll stay longer if people are still there...

Dave's more than welcome to come down to our place and bring a car or two, and some stuff to showcase as well...
