Does anyone have one of these in FIBERGLASS

Or can someone make one?
Just the Alloy bumper portion..but in fiberglass

I am looking for a Fiberglass version of this rear bumper part. Does anyone know who would make something like this?

and no.. I don't want an entire fiberglass bumper .. it doesn't quite fit into my plan.

Thanks

-Eric

Eric, Is that an SC/Carrera bumper? When you say you don't want the whole bumper do you mean the "base" without FG pads?

Do you have to drill holes and mount with bolts or is there an alternate way? So that the appearance is completely smooth from the rear.

The orginal owner of AIR is Dan McGlaughlin..when it comes to Porsche 911/935's Dan was the man who made the bodywork back in the day..all the Whittington cars , Meister 935's . my 935 all ran Dan's bodywork....Dan is still involved but John runs the show. Call and ask him about what you need..and if someone has it cheaper he will probably match or beat the price, plus they have great quality...they have been in business making Porsche panels for over 30 years.

A swiss cheese bumper may not fit your plan but the stock bumper can be made pretty light and combined with euro crush tubes it's only 5-8 lbs heavier than the glass set up you are going to....and it retains quite a bit of crashworthiness (of great value on track and off). I drilled 5 - 2" holes in mine and it saved almost 5 lbs. If you placed a few more holes along the face and a few along the top and bottm you'll get the weight reduction I'm talking about. Plan to trash 1-2 hole saws but it's still much cheaper than a $150 glass part.

Many of the AIR-type bumpers have studs molded in that roughly approximate the position of the bolt 'ears' on the shocks/crush tubes.

For my track car, I "recreated" the stock tubes with 1-1/4" PVC tube sections, straight couplers and end caps. I used a fence pole strap to attach to the bumper studs. It's a decent way to keep everything in place on a track car without tying it to the sheetmetal. And it's super lightweight.
