Question Do my Power Brakes Work?

I just realized that the power brakes on my 86 may not work. I've driven the car for over a year and never thought anything about it, I press the pedal, the car stops. I am curious about the power part only because I didn't notice any difference in pedal feel when the car was off or after I started it (rolling down the driveway). Any tips on checking booster, vacuum lines, or whatever the 911 uses for power brakes is appreciated.

Sit in the car with the motor off and put your foot on the brake pedal and lightly push. While maintaining pedal pressure start the car, as soon as the car starts and vacuum is created you should feel the pedal lower a little bit that's the vacuum assist kicking in.

It's a vacuum assist. If you hold the brake in while you start the car, you should feel the vacuum kicking in. Also, if you don't feel a difference after several applications of the pedal on a long incline (with the engine turned off), then I'd look for a vacuum failure/leak.

I don't feel any drop in pedal, I'll have to try again. If i am showing no boost, what are the trouble shooting steps?
