Very cool. I'm no expert, but I've been told on unencrypted wifi you should be careful about not accessing secure sites like your bank, user names and passwords just flying around the ether.

Very cool, I must say. I'd seen a program about this technology maybe a year ago. Lufthansa was the airline that was trying it out.

Enjoy Deutschland. I'm half German and spent much of my childhood living there. We'd usually travel on Lufthansa. This was back in the 60's (707's were used then) and 70's (747's - much better for a long flight). I still remember it like it was yesterday.

Enjoy your flight, but get to sleep soon or you'll be wiped in the morning.

$18 bucks for three hours, ouch. Well all things considered, not as bad as the Marriott in Miami, I paid $1.00 for 5 minutes so $12.00 for an hour. I can't stand the Pelican withdrawal, its just too hard.

$18 is a steal.

I just sat in the back of a 777 for 10+ hours each way last month (LA to Frankfurt). I would have killed for Internet access....

First Class is much better for that...you drink a lot, get drunk, fall asleep, and then wake up and get off the plane.

I flew First years ago when I was young and stupid.

I got drunk on the ground (we were delayed), fell asleep for the flight, and woke HUNGOVER just in time for landing. That was miserable.

I get upgraded often on Delta. .Drinking is no way to do it. YOu end up dehydrated and tired. In addition I usually land around 7am in Munich.. I can honestly say falling asleep at 250km an hour is downright scary!! ( not that I'd slow down hehehe)
