86 930s check in here.......
In 1986 there were 1,424 930's built..... just checking to see if I can find my car's "family" and how close I can get... I assume all VIN #s start with WPOJBO93465 or something close... the last SIX DIGITS of my VIN # is 050698.... it is a Guards Red Coupe... see who can get a VIN # close to mine.... ( I know - I'm bored )

18x8 225/40 front(will be switching to 235/40)
18x11 295/35 rear The wheels were originally for a later widebody 996 turbo or C4S. Rears fit perfect with original 1" spacers. Fronts need a 17mm spacer to fill out the fender. Had 28mm spacer but had rubbing issues. If I decide to sell them, I have a much bigger market to sell to than if I got them fitted for a 930. |

Forest, VA #50741, build date 2/86. Prussian Blue/Black. LSD and Securiflex windshield. 60K miles.
I'm trying to assemble a history on the car. Carfax shows it was registered in Hinsdale IL 11/86 and was inspected in Elk Grove afterward. New owner reported in Westport Conn 7/02. If anyone knows its history or prior owner(s), I'd appreciate the info. John

Call the Porsche dealers service in that vicinity with the VIN. They may have records in their computers. I have picked up a lot of previous history on cars that way. |

I"m running 17 225 and 255's .. Will be going much wider on my track 930 however..
