Removal of Carrera script?

How is this removed from the decklid? There are light scratches around it, likely from over-detailing. I'd like to buff them out if the script can be easily removed without breaking.

Thanks, Joe

Heat the area with a blow-dryer, then use fishing line...It has always worked for me.

So it just snaps in? Where are the fasteners? Do I pull up with the monofiliament or to the side?

Thanks, Joe

On my 86's there were no fasteners, just adhesive. Use a gentle
side-to-side "sawing" motion and it should come right off. Did the same thing when de-badging my Infiniti. Just take your time.

Most cases just adhesive....after it's off, simple green and a soft cotton cloth gets the gunk off....wax and buff.

Go to an auto paint store. They sell double sided adhesive tape used for reattaching body molding.

For $20, buy a fresh one from our host. They come with adhesive already on the back.

Or, just leave it off- makes detailing that much easier. The script to me is just a big wax/dirt/dust catcher.

Thats why I like the script that attaches with the speed nutz. Off and on in 3 min., making it easy to clean behind.
