Guess that piston!

Here's a sample from a set of pistons I found the other day. They are stock 2.2 bore, but that is all I have to go on. Any guesses on CR and what cam might need pockets that deep? I'll try cc'ing them and will have the cams pulled from their towers by next week to confirm your guesses.

From the side, being able to see the pin area for the piston to the right my guess is that they are JE aftermarket pistons with high lift cam valve pockets. Probably something like 10.5:1 CR and a ModS or GE60 style cam is what I guess.

Once you pull the pistons off you can look underneath and if they are JE there will be there logo in there. Also if they happen to be JE there will be a part number and you can call up JE with that number and they can tell you all the specs on that piston and possibly who ordered it and when.

Cheers

JEs...with any luck there'll be some identifying information under the crown and you can call 'em up.

If there's a pool, though, I'm going 9.5:1.
