Sunroof problem detected.
 

looks like one of the plastic guides that attach to the cable is broken-see pix- the cables themselves and everything else looks good. Does anyone know if i can just buy the plastic guide on the cable rather than replacing the whole cable? i checked here at pelican, but found this piece sold w/cable as the whole assembly.
If so, do they have metal versions?

I suspect you will have to replace the whole cable/guide as a unit. While you are in there, go ahead and do both sides. You will have to buy the later style cable units and do a little filing to make them fit the guide rails in your car. A Dremel tool makes this job much easier.

The replacement cables are metal that require very minor filing to fit. See this article in the Pelican tech section for more information with photos.
