A friend is looking at the '73 RS currently for sale at Symbolic Motor Car Co (#911 360 1530). He is on the east coast and is looking for someone knowledgeable to check it out.

Check on the Early S Registry for many experts. If you can get Sam Cabiglio (sp?) @ 562 595-7777, you will have an expert. I'll bet he knows all about the car beforehand. That's his business, knowing where the special cars are and selling them. Be prepared to pay handsomely for his services, but for a car of that stature (expense), I wouldn't spare expense in having it appraised.

wasn't that car listed in the pelican classifieds a few months ago? as i recall it took a lot of abuse from the folks here about it's history and authenticity.

This car was listed here last year and represented as totally original. Well, that is until people here corrected the seller and he challenged their knowledge. Naturally the board was correct on their details about the color change and motor change. The listing for sale here touched off quite a fire storm when the seller made some impolite remarks about the real experts here who, in the end knew more about the car then the seller.
The car also appeared to have been sold on eBay shortly after it was listed here. Love to own it but not at that price.
