CIS cold start popping
I've got the car out for its first run of the season.
There is a lot of popping going on when accelerating. Bad Gas? Running too rich? Broken head stud? - It should not be that as I the previous owner had replaced the head studs with 993 studs.

Probably running too lean, not too rich.
It was pretty cool this morning. Was your engine stone cold? Did the symptoms change as the engine warmed up? Have you checked your WUR/control pressures? A broken head stud was one cause of this condition in my car recently. I hope yours is just an out of spec WUR.
