Correct SWB door check strap pin?

I'm in the process of restoring the door check straps on my 912 project and was able to find new replacements with the correct early "forked" style check straps from Pelican.

What I'm wondering about is the pin that holds them in. Can somebody with an original factory set-up post a photo or description so I know what I need to find or fabricate? Is it retained with a cotter pin or a circlip?

Thanks!

I just did this project. You need a small cotter pin, washers, and special "cylinder with head" to insert cotter pin at the base. Surprised at how much these things "click" when new. Will try and snap a pic later today.
