Wheel Vibration
I have recently noticed a vibration in the steering wheel, up at about 70 MPH, much less at lower speeds, but not worse at higher speeds (i.e., Pocono last weekend). The tires on the car were new last fall, but have 3 DE's on them, and some street miles. The vibration really feels like a wheel imbalance. I checked the front suspension this afternoon, and all looks well there. Of course, I don't have any way of telling if my alignment has gone out, either.
My question is: will the driving and ensuing tire wear from the DE cause a noticeable wheel imbalance? The tire wear looks normal across the tread. The tires are Hankook Sport K-104, BTW. Thanks! Pat

I had same thing in my 82 911SC. It turned out that I had a ceased front caliper and a warped rotor due to the ceased caliper. After I fixed those things, nearly 75% of the wobble was gone.
I took it back to the shop and noticed worn wheel bearings on the right rear side - super slight play in wheel but enough to cause some wobble at high speeds (mine got hairy around 80mph was was not noticeable at lower speeds).

Thanks Craig:
I just repacked my front wheel bearings, and checked the runout on my rotors, which were good. Also, no brake issues either. Car brakes straight at 80 MPH.
