Personally, I would say No Way, use the Fuchs. But if you prefer the BBS, I'd send the mto Al Reed for full polish and clear coat....they would definitely pop then with the black paint.

BBS wheels are a nice, period correct aftermarket wheel for 80's cars. I think they look a lot nicer on an old SD or Carrera than some newer aftermarket wheels. Fuchs, of course, are the"classic" look. Whatever floats your boat.

I think they look great. Granted, I'd rather have the Fuchs, but the BBSs are very nice (I have them on my Audi and my Miata). I think they'd look better with the centers color-matched though. I'm contemplating color matching my BBSs on my Miata as well.

These old school 3pc BBS RS's are super lightweight. Plus you can send them to Lindseyracing and they can mod them to any size you want, also they can make them 17" if you want which is what I am doing right now. I went this route since they are period correct, plus they look really cool and 17's offer a bigger tire selection than 16"s.

Here are mine, I'll post when they're modded to 17"

here's what they'll look like finished, but in 17" size

I didn't care for them when I got the car, but they have really grown on me. I like the Miami-Vice look

Old school

I think that this is what the old school BBS wheels should be mounted under.

The slant is up 4-sale.

I really like my BBS track wheels - they clear my big brakes

They started out like this - 8's and 9's by 16

They weighed 16.4lbs on the fronts - 17.2 lbs on the rears - lighter than my same sized fuchs.

Al Reed did a nice job refinishing them

and they look good on...

HB,

I love the Fuchs look ...so classic and sooo right for the car. But I sold my 7/8x16 Fuchs to fund the BBS RSII (just like diabolos88 and Jeremy) in silver finish because they were 7 and 9-inchers and 3-piece modular (which opens up options for me later). The fact that they, too, are "period correct" is nice, but even more, they look great on the car. While your BBS are a diff model, I think they look great. If you like them, keep them ...zero advantage to having Fuchs that I can see, not to mention that Fuchs will be more pricey given their present popularity in 8" and 9" sizes. Bottom line is go with the ones YOU like better, but from where I'm sitting, yours looks fine.

We build these too

These wheels are built in Winter Park, FL by Stratton Motorsports. The finish is period correct and they've been to Daytona, Sebring, Watkins, Road Atlanta, Roebling where they took home a 3rd place trophy at the '04 LeMans Classic too.

Hey - don;t get me wrong - I like fuchs too - have a set of identical 16x8's and 16x9's. They are stunning...

But for the track, it doesn't make much sense - for the price of one 16 x 9 Fuch, I have 4 bbs wheels that are as big, as strong and are lighter...
