Please note that jtkkz's RennShift pic is of our first design shifter which looks a little different than the current model.

Thanks a lot for the insight James. I like what ive heard and the manual/auto reverse lockout and shift throw reduction sounds great. Since its sold through Pelican and I can support the BBS I think Im gonna try the RennShift. Can the lever be powder coated or painted black fairly easily?
Thanks
Jeff

james,
is there a difference between my older first design vs. the newer one?

The portion of the stick you can see is a separate part, but it has a steel adapter at the bottom and an aluminum upper shaft. I think you might have issues at the joint if you powdercoated it, as it is a threaded joint with locktite.

Painting would be no problem.

The shift feel is pretty much the same, the differences are in the added features (adjustable throw, reverse lockouts, adjustable stick position).

I love my rennshift. Considering the performance, it was a deal.

A little off topic, but does a different shifter really make a difference on an old tranny? My car can be a little hard to find first. And the first to 2nd shift can be hard if not at the right rpm. But I find the gears without any trouble. These things I have always thought were tranny related and so a shifter can't make much of a difference. I have a short shift kit which is nice now that 2nd isn't so much into the seat.
