If you mean the "instant engine overhaul" don't do it. That stuff dissolves some sort of plastic or something in the oil that solidifies and seals leaks. I knew a guy many years ago in who used that stuff in his old Dodge for a couple of months. One day he parked the car for 3 days and the motor would not turn over. We tore it down, sort of, and the pistons were glued to the cylinder walls with that cra*. Nothing we could do could get them loose and we had to throw the engine away.

If you mean stuff like STP oil treatment, or Motor Honey, it just thickens the oil to slow down a leak. You could get the same effect by putting straight.50 or 60 weight oil in the motor.

These things are just band-aids for the real problem.

Porsche Crest

That type of product is best used on engines no more complex than Model T or Briggs & Stratton 'L-head' engines.

It is potential poison to any engine with tiny machined components in a pressurized oil system ... including spray bars, piston squirters, thermostats, etc. !!!

I put that chit in my old CJ-7 but wouldn't even think about it in the 911. Really didnt help the jeep out that much anyway. Dont do it.

it just swells the seals. It may work, but depends on what type of leak you are trying to fix.
