Evo 2, Pole Position, etc. in Hershey?

I need to get my butt into an Evo2, Pole Position or similar sized seat to try them on for size. Anyone gonna have a set in their car this weekend at Hershey?

Any other seats I should check out that will give extra headoom? I'm 6'5", 225lb with 36" inseam.

rhk109,

Not going to the swap meet.

But I am the same size (6ft 230 - 36-38 wais) and fit in a Sparco Pro2000. Have on in a 78 SC that you are more tahn welcome to try for fitment, if you can't find one at the seap meet..

I am in Eagle (downingtown area) not far form New Holland.

Also, I have ftr in an EVO2, which is just a bit smaller than the PRO2000, I think.

Good luck
Earl

According to Sparco the EVO2 is larger across the seat, side to side, than the Pro2000.

Thanks Earl,

If I don't have any luck this weekend, I'll definitely take you up on it. I'm in the Downingotwn area all the time.

How do you have the Pro2000's mounted? Any gains in headroom?

The Evos are significantly taller in the back (to my knowledge they are the only marginally tall seats sparco makes - and I've tried ALL of them @ OG Racing). Im 185#, 34waist - 36 inseam levis, and ~6'-2". The pro 2000 is FAR too small in the back for a tall person - the shoulder harness holes are below my shoulder blades and angle the shoulder straps unsafely downward.

At 6'-5" you might have to look at a Kirkey or something. I haven't found a fiberglass seat (yet) thats taller in the back than the Evo.

There is a new racetech (RT4009 WTHR) thats advertised for larger and taller drivers, but isn't FIA approved. No affiliation, nor have I sat in one yet. Unfortunately is for big AND tall. Im tall but not big.

There will surely be a vendor for seats at hershey.

rhk109,

Its installed in a 78SC track car. I used the Brey Krause mounting brackets installed on sliders. I have a non-sunroof coupe and no head room issue. But you are taller than me.

I understand you can pick up some headroom if you eliminate the sliders and /or the mounts, which I will probably do later once I get comfortabel with seat position etc.

Anytime you want test fit just let me know.

The Evo and Pro 2000 are similar in size the evo L is larger then both and the Evo xl is even larger then the Evo L.
