MFI Issue at 3K
Removed my sport muffler and installed two MKEhaust race mufflers
at 3K the car breaks up and bucks made some minor adjustments to the air idle control with no luck any ideas? Car ran flawlessly with sport muffler |

Sounds like a lean condition. It does it only when the engine is cold or when warmed up? I would always richen the car a click and drive it for a while to see if that didn't fix the problem. If you do make adjustments keep good records of how many clicks rich or lean and don't try to do too much at once, or you will completely get lost. Make sure you have not exhaust leaks as well, after you did install a new muffler. I would do that first before attempting any adjustments.

I've read many posts related: there have been past MFI issues with non-stock style mufflers. I'd focus there. Maybe M&K has an answer?
It is my impression some good R&D will have to go into making a muffler that suits MFI. Doug

This isn't still a "T" motor is it?
What are the engine specs? Richening up definitely required.
