engine will not run

I replace my fuel lines. The engine starts after bleeding but will only run for about 5 seconds then shuts off. will no start again without priming ( pressing the diaphragm on the mixture control unit). Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Ken

First tell us which car you have.

If you search, you will see there are many possible causes, incl fuel accumulator, check valve, WUR and more.

What year car?

What type of fuel system?

Is this for a lawn mower? Snow blower? What year?
Mine is a Sears. It has a primer-diaphragm on the side and needs to be pressed/pumped three times.

I love those threads: Help! "Engine won't start", without any details. LOL
