Porsche vs Nascar video

Stuck with Sat morining shift in ER, found this neat video of sweet sounding turbo at Road Atlanta dicing it up with some stock cars and other iron. Who knew that 'dem Nas' kers' could turn right AND left?

Interesting mix of cars on that track.

The NASCAR-style car the 930 was in pursuit of was being handled pretty well (mostly - amazing how getting loose scrubs off speed...)

Definately, not Boris in the 03 car. Looks like Brian was having some fun though.

Wow..I HOPE that wasn't a q or practice session. Lots of wild moves there. Looks like the NASCAR guy got just a bit behind with his steering at the end of the "esses" and thru 5. He was very sideways...

Some scary closing rates! He made a great "pick" move on the 2nd NASCAR car pinning it against the yellow Cobra.

Assuming those are American Stock Car class cars, they are very fast. Their times at Sears Point (a technical track) are comprable with the fastest Porsche Racing Club groups, and Thunderhill (a power track) are slightly faster, (even afer factoring in the 2-3 second slower configuration PRC runs)

that's amazing that a 911 turbo can stay with a full on race car with all the designing done behind it. The 911 turbo is some car.

Pretty impressive, I must say. If it weren't for traffic though, the stock car would have been gone. He pulled away pretty easily on the straights.

I love how the 930 navigates through traffic out of turn 10B, under the bridge, and into turn 12...anyone that knows road atlanta will know what I am talking about....turn 12 is a "come to jesus" section...that is one quick 930....

Good save though. Then he got right back on it to keep the 930 behind.

You know those two were having fun out there.

I've driven RA and in the grass under the bridge into 12 is pretty aggresive. I just hope this was a SCCA race, and not some track day.

Nothing to do with SCCA, it's labeled as NASA.

Cool....I'd be a little worried if it were a drivers ed event, thats all...some moves were, shall we say, "Highly trusting" of the guys getting lapped/passed, and there wasn't any "out".
