Muffler 71 911T w/o Bumper Cutout ?

I'm looking at replacing the muffler on my 1971 911T Targa. Currently the engine is at JWW's for what will most likely be a re-build. It's a 2.2 with Webers that is probably stock, and for now I plan to leave it that way. I'll be re-using the stock heat exchangers if JWW deems them serviceable. If not, the car will be getting new SSI's.
The muffler I now have appears to be an old ANSA dual out with twin tips. It would be fine except the exhaust back-drafts and dirties up the rear of the car. I'm tired of having to continuously clean this. I've thought about cutting off and changing / re-directing the tips but I don't know how successful this might be. My other option is to replace them. I do not have a rear bumper cutout so I'm not sure which mufflers will fit and work.
I'd appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. Feel free to PM me if you have a muffler to sell that may work for me, however, keep in mind I'm only in the information gathering stage right now.

Cheers,

I have a fiberglass rear bumper without cutouts. But I have a magnaflow style muffler. My exhaust tips are pointing down and do not poke out beyond the bumper. Some people I have found do not like this due to the fact that you can not see them. Works for me. You may have to get another muffler. You could just go back to stock and have a shop weld a different tip on that curves it's way under bumper and out.

How about extensions? Add some bling and keep the exhuast away from the bumper.

Thanks Guys. I think I'll first try modding what I have by adding extensions and go from there. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
