Have you thought of just cutting out on on a scroll saw from a flat piece of carbon fiber material? Just a suggestion once you cut it out and drill the holes you can heat the edges with a torch to smoth them out. WR Shane

What is the likely weight savings here? 1\10th of one ounce? Every bit helps, but...
