Speedman....what specifically are you looking for? Bob Farmers is south of you just east of 465 and 30th st. Want to be is in the forsale section. She sells stuff (I think) from Bob Farmer. Check out http://cirpca.org/Home/

The Cirpca is a good organization. I just did a DE event and they were professional and plain friendly.

I want to get in with a few people that can help with my Porsche. I want to find a place to buy parts and people to talk to about our cars.

There used to be a place called doc&cys. They specialized in 911 and 356 parts don't know if there still in business.

I used to live in Noblesville. And Fishers. And Carmel.

I used Terry Heath at Euromotorworks for my service. Highly recommended. CIR PCA is a good group of Porsche folk as well.

That's about all I can offer. Hope you enjoy Noblesville!

Send a message via Yahoo to Lukesportsman
As I understood it, Doc&Cys has officially closed. I've heard that they still can be of help on early Porsches for past customers....no longer open to public last time I checked.

I will second Farmer. I have never actually used him for my car because I do all of my own work. But, he is always willing to talk about Porsches (at GREAT length!) and is VERY knowledgeable about 911's and 944s. My dad takes his 911 to Terry Heath at Euromotorworks. They are also very good but pretty expensive.

I lived in Indy for 8 years.
Doc & Cy's is gone.
Tweeks is gone.
Ross Motorsports is semi-retired but still dables in parts and some repair work.
Farmers, well I had two experience with them and they were both bad. He (Bob Farmer) let some idiot kid do the work on my car and screwed it up; this after charging me more than the agreed upon price for a set of used headers. I never went back.
Euromotorworks - the Brit guy is a hoot. Great place to check out exotic cars in the area.
Local PCA - wasn't a member then.

I am sorry you had a bad experience with Mr. Farmer.
I rarely hear negative things about Bob vs. other mechanics. Usually Bob is the person who fixes problems nobody else can fix.

I ask one question... who would you rather fix your car. A mechanic who only works on Porsches ... such as BOB

or a mechanic who works on all Euro cars...

Mr. Farmers name is well known across the country and his parking lot is full of cars from other states.

He did fire an employee who did some bad work for several clients. Basically the employee took advantage of BOB...

Today his back up mechanic is a very competent person who is also a very skilled painter.

Bob is a fair person and has fair repair prices versus other listed.

Plus over 30 years experience on Porsches....

Farmer's Automotive is decent. Bob can be like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld but I have always found him to be friendly and do good work. He knows more about air cooled cars than I ever will. I have used Langford Collision for body work. They are on the N/W side of Indy.

I think bob farmer is the best guy you could take your air cooled porsche to. He rebuilt my 930 engine for over 1000 dollars less than terry wanted ( Euro motor works). I asked him how he was always way cheaper than terry. He said "simple I dont have a F'n multi million dollar facility I dont have the overhead they do" Its true your paying for that nice building and that hott chic to serve you coffee while you wait on your car.

Bob may very well be as good as you say. Problem is he didn't work on my car. It only takes one bad experience to spoil the show. I had two bad experiences, does that make the third time a charm or me an idiot to even think of going back?

Indy is a cool cool car town, you're gonna love it. Find an Indy or F1 mechanic to chum up with so you can get VIP passes to the pits and garage area. You'll see more exotics parked there than just about anywhere else in the midwest.

These are cars are Fassssssssssst... jpc
1)-For a car that weighs around 3000 lbs and does 137 mph ( stage I) in a 1/4 mile would probably make a very low 11 second pass and would need atleast 500-550 hp at the wheels...
2)-147 ( stage II ) in a 1/4 would be atleat a 10 second pass needing atleast 600-650 at the wheels
3)-and for a 930 Turbo, still stage II doing well over 175 mph in a 1/4 mile would be a high 8/low 9 second pass and would need atleast 700-750 hp or more at the wheels...
Some thing just doesn't sound right here ..few dyno graphs would help quite a bit understanding what stage I & Stage II's are..

I orginally posted the car would reach 147 mph in a quarter and go well over 175 MPH. (past a quarter mile)
The engine Dyno was just rec. about 1 week ago. Bob is working on getting it installed NOW. The stageII was only built once, but i am hopeful another will be built! Mr. Farmer is one of the few engine builders who uses a flow bench while building his engines. His cars produce the horses! Farmers Automotive is looking foward to posting some horse power graphs on the website soon!
Please check Mr. Farmers web site often...

thanks for the interest!
