WEVO shifter rocks

Installed my new WEVO shifter this Saturday. It makes the 915 a whole new and much more enjoyable animal. Excellent product. I reccomend it. It rocks. I'm headed to the garage just to touch it. Oh yes!!

wevo

Purchased this through Pelican. I initially received a follow up call to inform me that there was a 4 week wait for thr style I ordered, but it actually showed up on my doorstep in a week or so. Nice surprize. Installation could not have been easier. You remove your center console (7 screws on mine) your shifter housing/shifter assembly. (5 bolts) and then you take the shifter guts out and top plate off and replace with the WEVO shifter and top plate. 1 hour tops. I haven't taken any photos of my install yet, but I purchased the black version, new-style and painted the housing to match the WEVO parts and it looks so good I installed it without the console or boot. Like this.....

Did you also buy the WEVO transmission kit earlier for the bushings and springs and so forth that make it easier to shift. I'm sorry for forgetting the actual name of the kit. I met a guy (Alan Gale) at a local auto-cross that had this kit installed on his 915, but not the shifter. It made the 915 feel entirely different, and it was simple to shift into any gear. He said it cost about $900 when he bought it.

Enjoy your new shifter! It looks awesome.
