explain difference in lug nuts: shoulder/cone

I was just reading another thread in which a response mentioned shoulder lug nuts and cone seat lugs. I'm not real familiar with the different types of lug nuts. I suspect our "usual" lug nuts on our P-cars are shoulder type. Is that correct? Can someone please clarify? Pictures are worth a thousand words. TIA.
