One last thanks to all who donated to the Anderson's fund for defibrillators

Just wanted to say thanks again to the great Pelican family for stepping up and donating over 1200.00 to the fund to help provide automatic defibrillators to Laguna Seca. Thanks to your help and WestMed ambulance, we got 3 of the latest automatic defibrillators. These will be used for our track guests as the new hospital, which we had the ribbon cutting ceremony for last night, has it's own fixed and full versions for drivers and riders. We used that ceremony last night as a way to announce the gift courtesy of Pelican and the Andersons of these devices.
Thanks very much to each of you who contributed. We still could use more and Stephanie Anderson has kept the fund open in case there are still those interested in helping.

The first photo is yours truely making the announcement and offering to have the defibrillator demonstrated on my person as I missed my coffee yesterday. I bailed at the last moment in favor of keeping my mostly normal heart rythem as it is.

And here's a photo of our new track hospital, donated and staffed by the Salinas Valley Memorial Health Care System. The latest and best equipment is inside, ready for any emergency on track, and we hope we never have to use it.

The absolute best part of that picture is Bruce standing there smiling at Stephanie.


Those who saved Bruce are absolutely wonderful and will go on to save others.

I have known Bruce since Waverly and HP. He is one of the most knowledgeable Porsche persons on earth. The really good news is he has writing skills to communicate that knowledge.

We are all mortal and Bruce, I and others feel the obligation to pass the Porsche information on to the next generations. I wish more would. Thankfully there were wonderful people who kept Bruce with us that race day at Laguna.
