Buying 76 3.0 carrera
OK
I am buying a 3.0 1976 carrera, car is in good condition and the engine is said to be running well. I am going to view the car, what obvious visual engine faults should I look out for? I'm aware of broken head studs being common on 3.0's, but can this be detected without removing rocker covers?

When my C3 broke it's head studs the engine wasn't running very well but that is not always the case. I would pull the valve covers to be sure.
as w/ all 3 liter up engines, guides are certain to be(or have been) an issue.
