87 Carrera Rear Bumper Buffer
1987 Carrera 3.2 - Tried to remove the rear bumper buffers (the big black blocks on the rear bumper). On the first nut I tried to remove, I broke the stud. Not enough time with the PB blaster, but I applied very little torque before it popped.
Are these studs replaceable? If they are replaceable, I'll go ahead and finish removing them and replace it. If not, I'll either leave it alone or find a replacement buffer. Any advice? |

No, I don't believe they are replaceable, or at least not by factory design. there may be a way to modify it to accept a replacement if necessary. I don't know because I deleted mine in their entirety. Which side has the broken stud? I may have a good one that I removed from my car, but would need to check for which side if I still have it.

I have a pair of driver quality ones that I posted FS under "Bumperettes". Just FYI.
