Gauge questions
In my 83SC it is obvious the tach, speedo, and clock are all new or restored (bright orange indicators, numbers crisp and clear and the clock is a quartz clock which I don't think is OEM). the left 2 (fuel and gas level and temp) are faded, they get condensation behind the glass etc. My druck pressure/ oil pressure is of course rated 0-5. At highway cruise speeds it runs stead at 3, when I run the tach up higher say accelerating on a on ramp it runs up to 4 and at idle is sets at 1. Does this sound normal? Also I can't get my clock to work altogether like I said the condition of the clock looks great. Can I test the wires coming into it with a hot light tester or should I use my multi meter (which I just bought this weekend and not totally sure how best to use it). Thanks

Your oil pressure sounds fine. About all you can test on the wiring to the clock is whether it has power and a good ground. If it has power and a ground and it doesn't run, the problem will be internal. I'd use the multi meter. Just read the directions-they're easy to use for simple tests like this.
